  • Thanks for the patch notes. It was great when they were coming out almost everyday for a while there.

((Thank you Devs, I live for these updates ) :)
  • To be completely honest and I don't want to sound mean. I just want to see the patch where we will get a memory leak fix or a collision system.

I have to agree. I was loving new patch notes everyday and then they stopped. For the amount of time since the last patch notes, I thought we would of seen a way longer list of fixes!!

One of the major fixes we’re all waiting for is the memory leak. And most of us still can’t hit the exit button to get out of the game, have to task out.

I don’t know what happen to the dev team, it’s like the gave up on the project due to the amount of bugs and work they still have before this can be released.

Still no communication, or news on what they plan, and they should honestly just get rid of the community manager, she’s been of no help since beta2’s been released. I’ve seen her chat on discord.. ugh..

Most of the fixes in this patch isn’t even the serious bugs we’ve submitted in both betas.

I really think they’ve run out of money, and steam will just be a cash grab, to bail them out, at this point.

Submitting and testing the game seems like a waste of time, they don’t do any of the fixes we submit, the serious bugs.

Memory leak, crashes when entering dungeons, being stuck cut constantly, can’t exit out of game properly, and plenty more.

Memory leak! Memory leak! Fix it already!!
  • Unfortunately serious bugs and issues are still in game. And there are tons of them. I allreasy lost motivation to hunt and gain craftskills. Every item i found or made is like COPY and PASTE. Its just frustrating. I cant even buy something special for my gold, case there is NOTHING what i dont allready have. What should i do the rest of Betatest? PVP? Copy paste again.....

Why aren't they on Steam already then?

Have you not read the forums, discord, or reddit. If they release the game now, no one will even buy it. Just look at the views on patch notes compared to this post from the devs.. most of us have left, waiting for the next big update.

The 7th there will be announcements about our new road map and plans.
Client memory leaks/crashes, as well as movement collision issues are being looked at, however these aren't simple issues and do take time. Clients in particular are something we really have to fix in a single go as we don't have a client patcher.

Most of the patch bits are game play bugs/tweaks, and not core technology fixes if you will. Ultimately what this means is the developers working on the "big issues" aren't the same developers that worked on most of the above bits.

What does that have to do with them going to Steam to cash grab? lol

They already have the money form us. This is beta, people don't play hard in beta.

We’ve heard all this before, the mem leak and exit button not working have been around for over a year if not 2. Another road map.. what’s the point... you guys never follow it.

Halt what your doing, and fix the “big issues”. An “exit” button, not working in a beta, shouldn’t be called a beta.

With whatever money you have left, hire devs that can fix these issues. The small group hired isn’t cutting it.. Look at the huge gap in patch updates. Fixing things we’re not even complaining about.

It’s like you guys aren’t even reading what we post. You can not put this game on steam with a mem leak. I don’t know how many big reports and posts we need to give you guys to fix it!!

All we see is road maps which are full of lies, and the same old “we’re looking into it”.

But at least we got a reply to the many un-answered posts.

We can tell you guys are giving up.

Not sure what you mean. Not sure if you play games much, but most games are played the hardest in beta, since most games are released in alpha beta form. Steam is a bigger outlet to players, thus a cash grab.

They have are money, but due to rumors and lack of updates and communication, looks like their out of money. I don’t have the post right in front of me, but I believe the community manager posted something on money and release.

I’m not sure what your point of “they have are money” is, it’s not enough.

If your new to the game, I can see if you have more patience then us. But the same errors and bugs your encountering now, we already encountered over a year ago. Read forums and discord, the community is fired up.

And I can ensure, this new road map, will just be another upset.

Honestly @Xclusive seeing your posting history and seeing the overall tone of your recent posts I ask myself is this really about some justified complaint or is it just an excuse to piss in the pool?
Seriously - take back a gear or two - it starts smelling.

All my posts are spot on with the rest of the community (forums, discord, Reddit, twitch). I just don’t bs around it. If you read my posts, there’s many complaints, and me agreeing with a lot of posters. I played with a core bunch of guys, nothings really new, we want this game to succeed, we invested in it with money and time.

If you think I’m pissing, good, about time, I’m telling it how it is, the devs can’t make any decisions, and the one they make is a graphic overhaul no 2 asked for.. whaaa..??!

My friend didn't buy the game because of the graphics. So yes graphics will turn away people and it needed better graphics for some people.

And why fix memory leaks if they are changing things around so much that they will just have to fix them again later. Fix them at the end, done.

I've been here for 3 years and while I hate the wait....I understand they are limited resources and that is going to make it slow. Also they do change plans a lot which sucks but they are learning from us and making changes to ensure we actually like the game when it is released.

My suggestion to you is, come back in 1 year and then decide if the game fails you. Clearly you are bitter and need to wait til they say "it's done" before claiming they failed.

Changing what so much? Barely anything has changed. You have people not playing because the game doesn’t run (with high end machines).

What are they learning from us? This beta has been a step back, with less communication than the last.

What I’m claiming is to fix the bugs we posted about over a year ago, listen to the community, because there clearly not (ex: graphic overhaul).

My suggestion to you is read the forums, discord, Reddit, and listen to the twitch streamers that have quit and or still playing. They didn’t even last a week, and you want me to wait another year... it worries me that you have 3 years put into this.

I finally got some response today after calling out devs and community manager in an aggressive way. We’ve been nice, try to have constructive, it doesn’t work. Being somewhat rude and straight to the point got me a response finally.

It may not seem it, I’m actually passionate about the game. But when I see bs and exuses, I got to call it out.

I read the responses from the devs so I’ll wait and see what happens with the new roadmap.

As far as you stating to wait on mem leak, that’s the worst idea ever. You act like there fixing bugs and adding content constantly.

Your insights are neither very new nor adding a lot in terms of "Oh - we didn't know that yet, thanks!".

You need to vent - okay - I got that.

"Spot on with the rest of the community"?
Maybe some, maybe many, surely not "THE community" - I and others who don't like that tone of yours are also part of the community. There is not "THE community" which backs you up.

Just FYI: I'm probably one of the guys who have criticized the game and certain CS decisions the hardest and most painful way for them - been doing that for more than 3 years now. Still - I can't see why it is necessary to attack Sanya in an unnecessarily humiliating and very unfair way and repeatedly use a demeaning language.

Just because some things are not right it doesn't give you the license to behave like an ass and speak like you are gods personal impeccable prophet telling the dreaded news to the ignorant masses, because that's what you start doing and I suggest you filter out the BS from the justified critique - it would also make it easier to take it for serious, because right now you are just misbehaving and pissing off the more moderate people.

If you believe being rude is being cool - okay go for it. To me it just looks off.

    Sincerely
~Y., one small portion of the community ...

And by the way, it wasn't your voice that stirred the devs to making an announcement on Tuesday, that was already in the works.

It’s 2018, what world you living in? And it was just, I got answers for being rude after many attempts of trying to get a responce. And no, I think your pretty off, my points represent a lot of what the community thinks... don’t like my posts don’t read them. Don’t waste time on tone, and how a person should act, because honestly, we don’t care, I know I don’t. We care about the game and how poorly they’ve done. We want answers and communication.

    Don’t surgar coat this.

You need to read the forums... there’s nothing new I’ve written. I just did it my way, and it caught attention enough for the dev and community manager to respond finally.

I just don’t bs when I write. And you got to be held responsible for bs. Don’t fanboy me right now.

I agree - you did the attention seeking your way and I'm answering my way to it.

Yeah - I get it - you don't like receiving critique, but you like serving critique.
    We know your type.
Been there - seen that a lot on these forums already.

    Indeed - nothing new ...
  • @Xclusive There are a lot of issues with the game and content is lacking. Most of your points are valid complaints and as someone who has contributed to the funding of this project, you have a right to voice your opinion and concerns.

It's just like in a cafe when you order a coffee and it comes to you lukewarm, you paid for it and it's your right to give feedback and politely ask for another. This is not what you are doing, instead, you are coming off as the lady with pink hair, glasses and a stroller full of out of control kids, who is yelling at the innocent girl behind the counter (who did not make the coffee), demanding to see the manager and making a massive and unnecessary scene. Just chill man, your attitude is something that makes people not want to deliver out of spite, it's toxic and contributes absolutely nothing of value. I agree that there needs to be better communication but there is nothing wrong with the manager. How can you expect her (or anyone) to improve their communication when the second they do communicate, you bark insults at them. A developer is not going to make a good game for a community that is rude to them.

Always remember, your pledge was an investment and display of your support and faith. It was not the purchase of a guaranteed working product

Very true. I stopped reading this guy's jazz full of BS.
  • The community server is much more adept than the official server, I really enjoyed playing on the Legends of Ultima community server, until I saw several players making donations, and I began to care for players, much higher than expected and in no time at all. I can accuse you of nothing because I can not prove it but it is at the least strange, it's a pity that I will not have a server equal to LoU, the official, who even encouraged me to play again, because the way I'm not even wasting my time.
